Trump has said he is not considering taking legal action against the companies he alleges are taking advantage of consumers, but he has vowed to “fight to the death” against companies that he says are trying to steal his business.
“It’s a little late in the game, but if they’re not going to do something, I’ll fight to the finish,” Trump told Reuters in an interview.
Trump’s comments come as the technology giant is being investigated for its alleged role in a massive data breach last year.
Trump has called the investigation a “witch hunt” and accused Apple of trying to “blackmail” him into giving up his assets.
He has also said he would be willing to accept a “disgraceful” settlement if Apple agreed to give him the backdoors it says would allow hackers to access data stored on his iPhones and iPads.
Trump also suggested in the interview that Apple could have avoided a massive hack if it had not given away the security of its products, but Apple is “a very smart company.”
